ECS 567 Virtual Production Setup

This week we had a chaotic meeting with Emma and David which our setup bugged out on multiple accounts. First, the virtual camera wasn’t connecting and that was because the NDisplay I was setting up that morning had an error in the ip it was operating on. My hypothesis is that since it was set to an improper ip it hijacked the port on the local IP the virtual camera was connected to. Additionally, the suit was stuck in mixed bootloader mode because the wire connecting the hub to the right arm branch was damaged. This is the second wire that needed to be replaced that's plugged directly into the hub. So, I have zipped up the Rokoko suit completely because we have been leaving the hub partially out to easily replug it in, but perhaps this is causing damage to the wires while capturing mocap. Only time will tell if this helps and if it doesn’t maybe the wires in the hub just take more strain in the mocap performance. Moreover, the iPhone wasn’t connecting for facial motion capture what I noticed is having multiple IP targets that refer to the same computer seems to confuse the Livelink so best to stick to just one, at least for referring to one computer.
