Axibo Setup

Over the past week, I set up Axibo and tested it in the Unreal Livelink. But while setting up the slider I dropped the rig and the slider motor isn’t being detected now. After further exploration, we discovered that the motors chip sits on top of the cylindrical metal piece of the motor and when I dropped it the cylindrical piece of metal was driven into the chip damaging it. Currently, we are waiting on a new chip to fix the motor.

On to operating Axibo, to use Axibo a computer must be connected to its local wifi signal, or connected via ethernet. Then, from a search browser, we can go to http://10.42.0.1/ to control the rig. Furthermore, when I tested the Livelink from Axibo to Unreal I noticed that the pan was moving the virtual in reverse to the real camera. So, I had to set the scale of rotation in the slider to -1 to make it stream in reverse on that rotation.

To set up the virtual camera in unreal it's pretty simple. First, you need to start the Livelink in Axibo to the IP address of the computer through Axibo wifi. Then, in Unreal you need to enable the LivelinkFreeD and add the Livelink through FreeD with the IP address and port that your streaming Livelink to. Next, you create a camera in Unreal. After that, you add a livelinkcontroller to the camera. Then, set the controller to the Axibo camera you added.
